There is this classic question that I am sure you have heard of, either you asked someone this, or someone asked you – what are three items you would bring with you if you were to be stranded on the island. What do you usually say? I usually say a good book, a hammock and a fully equipped yacht. Today’s blog post goes a little something like this, but instead this is the “beauty edition”! This was a toughy, cutting down to only five products from my whole make-up collection… From my favourite foundation, mascara, lip-balm, blush, contour kit, palettes, bronzer, moisturizer, like how do I even limit it to five?!
We will start with the skin. The Giorgio Armani Beauty Maestro Fusion Makeup Octinoxate Sunscreen SPF 15 in colour 4 is a two-in-one. It a SPF 15 infused foundation. It's a very light and thin foundation. This product won the Allure Best Breakthrough Beauty Award Winner. As mentioned by Linda Cantello, International Make-up Artist for Giorgio Armani Cosmetics - It’s not a foundation, it’s a complexion perfecto. A whole new generation of makeup that feels incredible, looks invisible, and makes skin appear luminous every time. Anyone can wear it! Since an island means I am going to be in the sun 24/7, the SPF definitely comes in handy!

It's important to stay clean, and to do so I will be bringing one of my favourite The Body Shop products - the Banana Shampoo. I would have added in the conditioner too but I mean that's another product. For those who have never tried this, it is the bomb. The shampoo cleanses hair, leaving it ultra shiny. The shampoo is also made with real banana puree and smells so so so good! The whole banana theme kind of matches the island thing we have going on too ;) The Body Shop has great sales sometimes I often stock up when they are having the 40% off sale so it comes to around $4/ bottle.

Here is another perfect sunny island themed product - the Sun Beam Golden-Bronze Liquid Highlighter by Benefit Cosmetics! Highlight that fantastic tan with this golden bronze complexion highlighter and get that sun kissed radiance! Just a quick tip for this product, I find it super strong, so I usually just use it on my cheekbones, brow bones and cupid's bow. Using it on a darker part of your face gives it a super unnatural look!

The Better Than Sex mascara by Too Faced because that is the best mascara ever and I literally can’t live without it. Plus, since you have that pretty face going, why not add in that extra glam of lashes. It will also keep you from crying because “your mascara is too expensive to shed a few tear”.

Lastly, hair products are just as important, I would choose between a good box of hair elastics or a hair essence that will keep my hair from frizzing and care all of those dry strands (some even have UV protection). So this is a dilemma of either hair elastics which could essentially be useful and get my hair out of my face when I am searching for food, or do I want to keep my hair from going crazy… what would you choose?
