A Lifestyle Habit - On Keeping Healthy and Hydrated!
Not drinking enough water throughout the day will put you into the path of dehydration. The New Year I gave myself a resolution to exercise more, but it is also important to stay hydrated while exercising because of the added sweat loss. Overall, drinking more water throughout the day will help fatigue and prolong endurance. Water makes up about two thirds of who we are, and influences 100 percent of the processes in our body. So pretty much, if one does not drink enough water they could die. Drinking water also prevents cancer, as various research shows that hydration can reduce colon, bladder and breast cancer by up to 50%. Drinking enough water will also allow us to be less cranky and perform better overall. Without enough water it may cause moodiness and grumpiness. Think clearer and happier by drinking enough water throughout your day. This one is common, drinking water helps with losing weight. Drinking enough water also helps with giving clearer skin, and a skin glow - water consumption can improve the colour and texture of your skin. And of course, water have nutrients that feeds your body. It serves at the body's transportation system and when we are dehydrated things can't get around as well.
We recommend drinking eight ounces of water a day, which is two liters. Sometimes it’s hard to drink just plain water all the time. Water detox is a good solution for that. Water detoxing have been a very popular trend that helps cleanse the body while keeping hydrated. The easiest way for water detox is to squeeze half a lemon into a tall glass of water each morning. It will help flush out toxins and keep them from building up. The fruity detox water is made from strawberries and kiwis and it is a perfect summer drink. This one helps with getting rid of your body's radical and contains anti-aging properties to help fight carcinogens because of the vitamin A and E. By adding strawberries and watermelon into your water it helps with getting better looking skin! A simple and fresh drink is adding cucumber and lemon into your water, this is great with boosting your immune system and cleaning out toxins. Cucumber is an anti-inflammatory and helps you to stay hydrated. If you want a bit more flavour you can add a few mint leaves to it too! There are a number of things that can be added to the water, it not only boosts the taste but helps to flush out harmful toxins from your body.
Sometimes it's hard to keep track of how much water you have been drinking throughout the day. I have recently came across this Smart water bottle currently on KickStarter. This water bottle keeps track of your water usage throughout the day with the use of a sensor that connects to your phone via Bluetooth. It's called the HidrateMe Smart water bottle, and I think it's such a smart idea! This is such an innovative way to ensure that I am drinking all the water I need for the day.
