Hello My Beauties,
When it comes to choosing lipsticks there are certain lipstick colors that are timeless. They are the type of universallipstick shades that you just feel like you cant live without and must haves!
The 1st lipstick for any season of the year would be none other than CLASSIC RED.
You will never go wrong with a Classic Red, it is definitely a must have in your makeup bag. The color Classic Red is a match to any and every outfit you are wearing. It is also known as the Marilyn Monroe Lippy she basically trademarked it with her beautiful white dress.
Red Lipstick makes women feel Naughty and Sexy. Get the Bold look with a CLASSIC RED Lipstick.
However there are a few Do’s and Don’ts when wearing RED lipstick.
It is very important to Be Precise when applying red lipstick. Whether your applying it with a brush or just straight out the tube.
If you’re planning on using a lip liner make sure to get the exact same red or a dark red. If you don’t get the same red it will look two-toned with exception of a dark red because you’ll get an ombre look which by the way makes your lips pop!
Apply a little concealer around the border of your mouth to prevent bleeding.
Last but not least, avoid getting lipstick on your teeth. After applying your lipstick try putting your finger in your mouth and pulling it out like so…
The 2nd and 3rdshades would be Berry or PLUM. Sometimes when we hear “purple lipstick” we may get intimidated and feel as so we can’t pull off the look. If we get out of our comfort zone and become more open to different lipstick shades we find that we look freaking Awesome!
Tips and Tricks to pulling off Berry or Plum Lips:
Make sure you exfoliate and use lip liner prior to applying lipstick.
Apply primer to prevent dark colors from sinking into lines.
Add highlighter around your lips to make them stand out.
If you’re not a fan of Matte this is a shade that also looks great with Gloss!
The 4thmust have lipstick shade would be a NUDE. The Nude is very Flattering if you ask me. When wearing Nude Lipstick, you should pair it with a bold brow and maybe a smoky eye look to bring life to the face.
When picking a Nude lipstick shade there are some things to keep in mind.
If you get to dark of a nude shade it’ll look like you’re trying to make brown lipstick happen.
Too light and you’ll start to resemble the living dead.
With that said try to stay somewhere in between your skin tone, not too light or too dark.
You can never go wrong with a NUDE lipstick shade!
The Nude lip makes for the perfect Natural Look.
Last but not least lipstick shade everybody should own is PINK! Pink lips are fun and trendy to try out all year round.
Pulling off the “Pretty in Pink” look may seem easy but let me tell you its not!
You need to pick out a Pink shade that'll go with your skin tone.
Here are some Tips and Tricks to pull off the “Pretty in Pink” look:
Bright lips tend to bring out the flaws on our lips, to avoid that we should exfoliate our lips and add a lip balm prior to applying lipstick.
Those with warmer complexion should go for s cooler toned lipstick and vice versa.
Rather than applying a lot of color all at once, it would be smarter to gradually build up the color.
Applying your lipstick with a brush is a great tip to ensure that you get those corners and for a more flawless look.
To make your PINK lips the stamen look in your face you should avoid attention to your eyes by wearing fairly simple eye make up.
Dare to Wear PINK!

I have been using the Dior Mutli Perfection serum. It makes my make up looks flawlessIt has an amazing effect on the skin and can be use as a primer as well!!! Yes I am in love. But I always go back to the basic and use a primer from MAC.
My love right now are both Marc Jacobs (liquid & cream) foundation. As well as the Revlon 24 hour color stay. It’s smooth and both brands cater to my budget.
I have plenty of lip colors from a variety of beauty brands, but none the less I can’t go without anything pink or red. Which are my go to colors!!! But is also gets extremely cold where I live, so I also invested into a local all natural, vegan Shea butter from a brand called ButterLove by LC.
My eyebrows are a must and YES!!! I create them everydaylol. Practice makes perfect and these are the two items I use below! Anastasia Brow pomade and MAC concealer
Finally, these are the extras! My lashes, my Kat Von D eyeliner, my concealer I use as a highlighter.
This is just my daily make up bag but my bigger bag that full of the goodies has a lot more product! I have this help many of people!
Hey lovely ladies!!!! In today’s blog we will be discussing eyeliner. Sharp vs. Smudgy. Eye liner is so important to any make up look as it can give it a clean, crisp finish, or a soft sexy seductive edge. So which one do you prefer? I would like to officially welcome you to Liner 101. Here is a chart of different liners from basic to the most dramatic glam looks and their names.
In my opinion your liner should be appropriate to the event, as well as the overall look you are going for. For instance, in a professional setting where you might wanna spice up your look, go for a sharper liner. It’s clean, and if it’s black it will give beautiful definition to the eye without over dramatizing them. I think it’s pretty safe to say that the sharper liner is nice for a day time look. Although it may be worn day or night, I think the heavier the liner and more drama it moves into evening wear. Here are some examples of the sharp liner:
I love this dramatic sharp liner. So clean, but super fierce!!! Sharp liner may be achieved by using a pencil, cream liner or a liner pen. If you opt for a cream or gel liner, be sure to use a fine point or angle brush if one is not provided with the liner. I have found that if you prefer the darker, heavier tend to deposit and retain more pigment than pencil. However, pencils provide a smooth finish as well as a more natural enhancement. The above tips should help you get a bit more wear out of a pencil, or cream liner.I love this dramatic sharp liner. So clean, but super fierce!!! Ok, next up in the battle of the liners: Smudgy liner. Ok, ok, I gotta be honest with you, smudgy liner is my favorite. I like the softness of it. There’s a soft sexiness that it adds to a look. It’s a look that can be worn all alone with a nice bold lip, or it can add a bit of dramatic glam to any look. Here are some examples:
OMG….soooo much fierceness!!! I love it. This look may be achieved using a cream or gel liner and simply smudging it to soften it. I like to set mine with a pigment or a black eye shadow to make sure it doesn’t crease, and improve blendability. So ladies, after further consideration, what’s your preference? If you’ve never tried one or both of these styles of liner, why not give it a whirl? Use the chart above to expand your knowledge base, as well as for inspiration. Thanks so much for reading dolls!!! Alright lovelies…it’s about that time. Spring has sprung, we’re cleaning and organizing like busy little bees, what better time than now to spruce up our vanities. Keeping beauty products neat, and organized is vital to the longevity and upkeep of them. While we’re on the subject I’m just going to come out and admit that I am an artist, which means by nature I’m pretty messy. Lol and according to YouTube’s organization guru Alejandra Costello, I am a certified “chucker”. This means that when I’m done with something, without realizing it, I literally “chuck” it to the side. What a headache! Lol So, in an effort to tame this horrible habit of mine I began investigating organization strategies for “chuckers” like myself. Let’s discuss the first one:
When it comes to organizing our cosmetics bags are a wonderful choice. Most cosmetic bags are fairly small in size, and are excellent for travel, or if you don’t have very much make up. I travel a lot with my make up so I have invested in a nice size travel case. In my case I also use bags. They keep all my lippies and pencils neat and safe.
For the artist on the go, I have found cases to be very convenient and a nice way to carry, store and organize my make up. Here’s a peek into my actual case:
When traveling for a job I am sure to take only the things I know that I will need based on the client consultation. There are also a few things I like to keep handy just in case the need comes up. As you can see I have my bags, my palettes, as well as my compacts all in one spot. And the lashes that I absolutely life by. Nu Bounsom’s 100% Mink lashes are everything. You can order them at www.nubounsom.com/angiebrand and if you use my code: queenoftheglammed you get 20% off!!! Anyway, I digress, lol. So this is my travel case.
A recent craze in cosmetic organizing are acrylic organizers. Shown below, these are awesome because you can see what you have, and the spacers are easily accessible. These are best for stationary vanities.
When it comes to brushes, the right brush can make all the difference in the world. Keeping them clean, and separate from other products is vital. Brushes tend to hold product and bacteria, so a regular cleaning regiment is vital as well as allowing them to air dry. Keeping them organized doesn’t have to be expensive. They can simply be kept in a jar, an old candle holder, or even a can. I thought this was a cute idea:
It’s cute, uber simple and very creative, I’m willing to bet not very expensive either. Brush bags and belts are good ways of storing brushes during travel or work, just be sure to remove the brushes and properly clean the bags as well, otherwise the germs will continue to spread. Trust me, germs cause break outs and all kind of problems for the professional make up artist. Let’s err on the side of caution.
Speaking of caution, another tip to organizing like a pro is knowing and keeping track of the shelf life of your cosmetics. An outdated cosmetic can be very harmful. Whether it’s make up, perfume, or any kind of skin cream. I found this to be a helpful guide in keeping my cosmetics properly stored, rotated as well as knowing when and what to get to rid of.
So, lovelies, I hope these tips were helpful and will get you organizing like a pro! Please subscribe, and leave a note that you dropped by. Follow me on IG @queenoftheglammed_mua and Like my FB page Love Make Up Life. Love ya!!!!!
