During the winter time it is important to take care of your skin. The cold air and breeze will damage your skin really quick.

Your routine for the winter shouldn't be the same as the routine during the summer. Avoid having chapped lips or chapped face by having a good skincare routine for the winter. This is how you can maximum moisturization/minimal discomfort for the cold days.

For your face wash, try Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser, Lancôme Crème Mousse Comfort, or CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. Joshua Zeichner, the director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City suggested that "swapping a foaming cleanser for a creamy one is often all it takes to help skin adjust to colder, drier weather".  Michelle Villett from Beautyeditor also suggested that foamy, lathering cleaners have an alkaline pH, whereas our skin's pH is acidic. That means their alkalinity can strip away your skin's acid mantle, which is the barrier that protects it from drying out as well as the elements and bacterial invaders.
