What You’ll Need:

- Mini hair elastics

- Bobby pins

- Sea salt spray

Step 1: Grab a one-inch section of hair from each side of your head just above your ears and twist them back to the center of your head. Secure with a mini hair elastic.

Step 2: Using hair underneath the elastic, braid a two-inch section of hair and secure with another elastic.

Step 3: Wrap the braid around the base of itself until it forms a flower shape, then use bobby pins to secure in place.

Step 4 (Optional): Use sea salt spray on the rest of your hair to give it a beach-y texture.

This is the classic messy bun look, it is not as easy as you would think!

Step 1: Start off by sweeping the front part of your hair to one side as to create a fuller crown area. Use your fingers along with a paddle brush to direct both sides to the back of the head.

Step 2: Gather your hair into a loose pony and secure with an ouchless elastic (sides and back). The base of the pony should rest in the middle of the back of the head. Push your pony up slightly to create fullness at the top of your head. You can stick a bobby pin right underneath to give it some volume. Add some hairspray.

Step 3: Separate the pony into one inch sections, curling each section loosely. You don’t have to do this very carefully, as it is a messy bun, and you just want to get some waves. Holding the curler for about 3 seconds should be enough, depending on the hair thickness.

Step 4: After each section is curled, use a bobby pin to secure the curl loosely against your scalp. When pinning the curls, make sure that you pin some at the top as to form an even and balanced shape.

Step 5: Once you’ve finished pinning the curls, use your fingers to gently loosen up the curls, making it look messy. Finish off with a little bit of hair spray and you have a sexy, messy bun!

Step One: Gather up a ponytail, but separate a section of hair on each side in the front and leave that loose.

Step Two: Take a section of hair on your left side of the head and separate it into a top layer and a bottom layer. Take the top layer in your left hand.

Step Three: Cross the section of hair over to the right side of your head, above the ponytail. Use a bobby pin to pin in place.

Step Four: Take the top section of hair on the right side of your head and cross over the left section. See that little tail hanging out of your first section? Grab that as you are crossing the right section of hair over. Pin in place.

Step Five: Take your remaining section of hair on the left side and cross that over to the right. Don't forget to grab that little tail and incorporate it into your section before you pin. Pin in place just over your ponytail elastic.

Step Six: Take your remaining section of hair on the right (and that little leftover tail, if you have one) and cross it over to the left side. Pin in pl ace.

Steps Seven: If you have a short tail hanging out of your last crossover piece, you can just pin it under the ponytail. If you have a long tail remaining, grab a section from each side of your ponytail and wrap around the elastic. Pin in place. Once you are done you should have a fancy ponytail!
