Lipstick is probably one of my favorite things about makeup. If my makeup is "ok" I can always count on making sure my lips look amazing! Whether it's picking a color that will pop out my outfit or take a simple look to the next level a nice lip will do that for you. So I wanted to get into the top 10 common mistakes people make.
Mistake number one: That you can just put lipstick on and go. This is a NO NO! Lipstick should be put on with a bit of a process to ensure that it looks good. It's not just about smearing lipstick on your face and going.
Mistake number two: You don't need to exfoliate your lips. This is somewhat true you don't need to exfoliate IF your lips are smooth. Also exfoliating doesn't have to mean making a sugar lip scrub you can just get a piece of wet tissue paper and wipe your lip making sure no dead skin is there.
Mistake three: That women can only wear certain shades depending on their complexion. Now this is false, I don't think women should think they are only stuck to wearing two shade of pink because they are a certain complexion. Take a risk and try a shade that you wouldn't normally you might be pleasantly surprised.
Mistake four: Thinking all lipsticks are made equal. They are NOT! You have to find the brand that works best for you.
Mistake Five: If you don't like matte thinking the matte lipsticks you have are a waste. Actually a quick and easy tip is to add a gloss to your matte lipstick to gain that moisture.
Mistake six: Thinking all drugstore lipsticks are not equal to high end. Lines like Maybeline and Cover Girl have some of the best lipstick brands out! Maybeline is actually my favorite lipstick brand. They are highly pigmented and creamy!
Mistake seven: Thinking you can't get great lipstick for cheap. Wet and Wild has some GREAT lipsticks that I rack up on for only $1-$2 on the east coast (U.S.). Check them out at your local drugstore or even your local dollar store.
Mistake eight: Not taking off lipstick properly. Have you ever taken of your makeup at night and still have seen some lipstick residue on your lips in the morning? Make sure you properly take ALL of your lipstick off.

Mistake 9: Not trying out more brands. Yes I know MAC is amazing but so are so many other brands. Don't get caught up in the hype thinking you can only use ONE brand mix it up!
Mistake 10: Not using lip liner! I know some people think lip liner is so 90's but it really does make the lip look so much better. It helps shape your lips how you want as well.

HAVE A HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE XO
Can you believe that Thanksgiving is almost here? And I bet you haven’t given much thought to what you’re going to wear huh? Even though Thanksgiving isn’t much of a “party” holiday, that doesn’t mean your outfit has to be blah and boring. Instead, take this as an opportunity to spice up your Thanksgiving get up that will not only get yourself in the holiday spirit, but everyone else around you!
If you know me, then you know I love prints, patterns, and anything decorative, so both of these shirts spoke to me. If you’re more on the daring side I would suggest this Walala Pop Crop Tank, if you’re more on the classic, elegant side I would suggest this Red Valentino White Polka Dot Cotton Shirt.
What I love, and intended for this set was for it to be versatile, which you can see from these Etre Cecile - Wide leg pants. It goes perfect with the crop top on the left for a daring, sexy look but also great with the blouse on the right.
Another thing to know about me is I love pops of colors, which you can see if both outfit choices from the clutches, to the shoes, to the accessories, etc.
Last but not least, most likely it’s going to be pretty chili when you head out to your Thanksgiving functions, so why not sport a festive blazer ehh? For our funky ensemble on the left I chose this Soaked in Luxury Blazer and on the right chose this no sleeve Velvet by Graham & Spencer Vivikah Black Sherpa Vest. Different styles but both STYLISH!
We hope these are two outfits you’ll want to rock on Thanksgiving, just make sure to not get them dirty from the gravy! Comment below, let us know what you think, and even share some of your festive outfit ideas for Thanksgiving!

Hello my Beauties!
I’m back with another blog, and today I will be giving some tips on best eye makeup.
Ok so beginning with PRIMER:
Primer needs to be applied all over the eyelid, prior to applying any eye shadow, eyeliner or anything because it helps the eye shadow last longer, prevents the oils from creasing up our shadows, and eyelid from getting oily. You my also use a concealer as a base and set with some powder.
After having applied primer pick a neutral Eyeshadow Palette that has a highlighter a dark brown and a matte black color.
5 Color EyeshadowPaletter – $9.99 20 Color Professional Makeup Kit - $19.99
Both can be found at www.mymakeupbrushset.com/collections/eyes
Once you’ve found an eyeshadow palette apply in this order.
Don’t forget to blend! Blend! Blend! And don’t forget to add some eyeliner and some false lashes to finish the look.
Tip: for a more natural look add some whispie lashes and don’t exaggerate the cat so much.
Here is a video to help you better:
I hope that you guys take these tips and ill talk to you guys later on another blog.
Hello lovelies!!! Can you believe it’s almost spring??? If you live anywhere where there is snow, I’m sure you can relate to my excitement. The thrill of emerging from scarves and hats and blossoming into sundresses, and open toed shoes. It’s such a refreshing feeling to let your skin breathe, and let your hair out. Given the change of season and fresh start gifted by spring, here are 5 irresistible tips for perking up anyone dragging from the winter.
ENERGIZE YOUR SKIN Winter can wreak havoc on the skin. The drier air tends to dry the skin, causing it to be fatigued.
Try this: Using warm coffee grinds (that’s right, from this morning’s coffee) mix with one tablespoon of raw Shea butter, and one teaspoon of cinnamon. Gently massage the coffee scrub onto your body. If over the winter you’ve accumulated any unwanted cellulite, leave the scrub on the area and wrap it with Saran wrap. Leave it on for 15-30 minutes. Wash off in the shower. Your skin will feel smooth, fresh, and that cellulite? Noticeably diminished!!!!! Repeat 2-3 times a week.
SOFTEN YOUR BROWS Let’s talk about brows for a minute. 2014 was the official the year of the brows. LOL. The dreaded overly dramatized, faded, highly concealed trend unfortunately spread quicker than I would have liked. In celebration of spring, let’s opt for a more natural, slightly enhanced brow. Minimal concealer, brow powders instead of pencils. One of my favorite make up artists on IG, @makeupbyjennyfro gets it. Her brows are always soft.
Try this: When filling the brows, be sure to use a spoolie to brush, blend and keep the brows soft. This aids in keeping the actual brows visible, and the make up you use to fill it even. When it comes to concealor, if you need to use it (you may be in between brow appointments) use it sparingly. Be sure to blend. I’m favoring a small buffer brush to blend flawlessly.
INFUSE YOUR HAIR Alright, we’ve got our skin looking vibrant, our brows softly enhanced, now let’s do our hair a favor. Overcoming winter dryness, coupled with blow drying and heat styling can be quite a challenge. Investing in a hair mask or making one will have your hair soft, shiny and rejuvenated once more.
Try this: Mix 1 egg, ¼ c of honey, ¾ c of olive oil, ½ of an avocado. Apply the mixture to your hair from root to tip and cover with a plastic cap. Allow the mask to sit for 15-20 minutes. Rinse, and wash and condition your hair as usual. If you have fine to medium hair only wear the mask for 10-15 minutes as an over exposure to protein could prove damaging. The ingredients in this mask are all functional. The egg of course infuses the shaft with protein, the honey is rich in vitamin A and potassium with gives the hair phenomenal shine, olive oil is an awesome non-greasy lubricant, and the avocado is filled with lipids to deeply moisturize the shaft. Talk about a super mask!!!!!!
SPRING CLEANING If you’re a human, which I’m assuming you are, winter can cause a build up of gunk in your system. So do some spring cleaning in your digestive system. This will prove beneficial for your skin, mind and body.
Try this: In a hot bath, dissolve 1c of baking soda, 2 c of Epsom salt and your favorite essential oil. Soak for 40 minutes. This detox bath literally turns your bathroom into a sauna. As you begin to sweat, your body releases built up toxins, as well as absorbs the minerals from the bath. Once you get out (after you endure) lol you will feel like you just left the gym. Light, refreshed, and a bit dehydrated. Lol Be sure to drink plenty of water before and afterwards. You won’t regret it!!!
KEEP YOUR FACE FRESH Being a make up artist, and someone who wears foundation pretty regularly, it’s always nice to be able to switch up and wear a fresher face. Lately, my muse has been a liquid illuminator by Manna Kadar cosmetics. It can be worn alone, or mixed with foundation. It gives the skin a beautiful sheer glow. Pair with a translucent powder and you have a fresh, bright face for spring.
