It is important to take a few factors into consideration when defining what kind of eyebrows you want. The different arch and length of eyebrows suits different type of face shape, eye size, and even trends and personalities. If you decide to follow trends, some go super bold and thick, while other virtually plucked them often. But with the perfect brows that suits you, your brows will always be on "fleek" no matter what the trend is.
Eyebrows varies for different face shape. This guide below will get you started on the right track on how to form you eyebrows.
For: oval face shape - shape angle soft
For: long face shape - flat eyebrow shortens the face, an arched eyebrow elongates the face
For: round face shape - high arch eyebrows shape. The up and down lines helps to drawer the eye up & down and lengthens it by creating more vertical lines
For: square face shape - begin with an arched eyebrow shape but keep it full and bold which will balance the square-ness of the jawline
For: heart face shape - round arch
For: diamond face shape - soften angle to reduce wide part of the face
When filling in your eyebrows…
Always, keep in mind that the arch of your eyebrows should line up with the outer edge of your pupil. If you are filling your eyebrows in, go for lighter shades (two shades lighter is usually best). Focus on filling in bald spot and make short, angled strokes in the direction your hair grows in. This will give an excellent natural look.
A few more tips and tricks...
- It is important to get the right pair of tweezers. Find something that is sharp and slanted. This type of tweezers grab tiny strays quick and less likely to pinch. It is easiest to use.
- When tweezing, do it right after you shower! Warm water opens up your pores, and follicles, so it hurts less when pulling out your hair.
- Sometimes magnifying mirror isn't good. It shows more hair than you can really see. Avoid over-plucking by using a normal every day mirror.
- Don’t forget to brush! Arch your brows with a brow brush or a clear gel wand, begin with coaxing the hairs upward at the start of your arch and brushing the rest toward the end of your eye
